#10 RANKED PUBLIC ACCESS COURSE IN MISSOURI (2023 BY GOLFWEEK MAGAZINE)

The “Crown jewel of the Springfield-Greene County Park Board public golf courses.” This 18-hole championship course is exceptionally designed to maximize the challenges of the game amidst a breathtaking setting. Rivercut is approximately 45 minutes north of Branson, making it an ideal place to start or end a trip for those traveling through Springfield. Planned by Master Designer Ken Dye, Rivercut is the Ozarks’ premier course. At 7,066 yards with a par of 72, the course is both unique and spectacular. Every hole brings the golfer a new adventure; fairways border the scenic James River, providing one of the most beautiful courses in the Midwest. Greens are large, with significant undulations that will challenge your short game. Driving range, practice greens, a fully stocked Pro Shop and more await you at Rivercut.

Top 3 Things We Like About Rivercut:

  1. It’s a challenging course at a great value. Not your typical muni.

  2. Holes 4-6 run along the beautiful James River.

  3. Very different from the front 9 to the back 9. The front is in the valley along the river. The back introduces interesting elevation changes.

Our Best Advice:

  1. Pay attention to your short game. The fairways are generous; however, there’s usually a price to pay for missing a green.

  2. Holes 8-10 present the toughest stretch on the course. Avoiding double bogeys here is an accomplishment.

  3. Buy a Rivercut shirt in the pro shop. They’ve got a great logo.

Our Favorite Hole:

#15 Par 3. Short shot over a pond from an elevated tee, so the wind can cause problems here. This hole can make or break a round.

your great day awaits.
