Top of the Rock

What comes to mind when someone suggests playing a par 3 course? Clowns and windmills? 80 yard holes stacked on top of each other with beat up greens and tee boxes overrun with crab grass? Fair enough. What comes to mind if someone suggests playing a par 3 course that hosts a PGA Champions Tour event? Whatever image your mind creates, put that on steroids and you might get close to an accurate picture of Top of the Rock. Part of the Branson golf scene and Big Cedar Golf family of courses, Top of the Rock is unlike any golf experience you’ve had. Top of the Rock is nine unique holes designed by Jack Nicklaus overlooking Table Rock Lake and weaving through stunning rock formations, water features, and beautiful plants and flowers. Everything about the golf course is perfectly maintained. The tee boxes are as smooth as your living room carpet. The greens are flawless and roll true and quick.

Top of the Rock is much more than a golf course. To get the full experience, arrive early enough to hit balls on a driving range unlike any other, surrounded by ponds and waterfalls. After your round eat in Arnie’s Barn, which was built from Arnold Palmer’s barn at his home in Latrobe, PA. Make sure to tour the clubhouse where you’ll find lockers belonging to Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Kevin Costner, and many other regulars at the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf tournament. Or, you can have dinner at the Osage Restaurant overlooking the golf course and Table Rock Lake. You can even take a cart driven tour of a cave, complete with a drive thru bar! If that doesn’t get your attention, I don’t know what else they can do.
