Now Is The Time!

It’s mid-May. Mother’s Day has come and gone. Graduations are in full swing. Soon, summer activities and family vacations will take center stage. So, now is the time to start thinking about your fall golf trip.

September and October offer prime conditions for both Destin golf and Branson golf.

In Destin, the beach crowds have thinned out as kids are back in school. This means condos and houses for rent become more plentiful, which results in lower rates. The temperatures are starting to cool a bit, making for ideal golf weather (70’s/80’s). Most Destin golf courses will aerify greens in August, leaving plenty of time for turf healing by early September. Additionally, Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club will have completed renovation of all 18 greens and will be ready for play by this time.

The same can be said for weather in Branson in September and October. Temperatures become a little cooler (70’s/80’s). The family vacationers thin out, especially in September, so condo and house availability loosens up a bit. The Big Cedar family of golf courses are scheduled to aerify greens during the first two weeks of September. Branson Hills Golf Club is scheduled to aerify greens at the end of September. So, the ideal time to play golf in Branson is the last two weeks of September and mid/late October.
